CELFINE FORTE belongs to a class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), specifically to a subclass called COX-2 inhibitors.
In conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, the body produces prostaglandins that can cause pain and inflammation.
CELFINE FORTE works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, thereby alleviating pain and inflammation.
Each Capsule of CELFINE FORTE contains Celecoxib 200 mg
Adults:
CELFINE FORTE is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Do not use CELFINE FORTE just before or after heart bypass surgery.
You should not take this medicine if you already have bleeding in your stomach or intestines.
Children and adolescents
CELFINE FORTE is for adults only, it is not for use in children.
Pregnancy & breast-feeding:
CELFINE FORTE should not be used during pregnancy unless the expected benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. The lowest effective dose and shortest duration of treatment should be considered.
Taking CELFINE FORTE during the last 20 weeks of pregnancy can cause serious heart or kidney problems in the unborn baby and possible complications with your pregnancy.

Pregnancy category: D from 30 weeks of gestation onward.
CELFINE FORTE should not be used whilst breastfeeding.
Adults:
For rheumatoid arthritis: The recommended dose of CELFINE FORTE is one capsule once daily, to a maximum of two capsule if needed.
For osteoarthritis: The recommended dose of CELFINE FORTE is one capsule once daily.
For ankylosing spondylitis: The recommended dose of CELFINE FORTE is one capsule once daily.
If no effect after 6 weeks, may increase to tow capsules daily.
Children:
CELFINE FORTE is indicated specifically for adults, the safety and efficacy are not established in children.
