PEFLACINE – PRO 400 mg is a synthetic antibacterial of the quinolone family, the group of fluoroquinolones (second generation).
Each film-coated tablet of PEFLACINE – PRO 400 mg contains: Pefloxacin mesylate dihydrate 558.50 mg equivalent to Pefloxacin base 400 mg.
Endocarditis.
Infections of the skin and soft tissues.
Digestive and / or biliary infections.
Neuromeningeal infections.
Osteoarticular infections.
Otorhinolaryngological infections.
Respiratory infections.
Urinary infections.
Urogenital infections.
Prostatitis.
Septicemia.
Gonococcal urethritis.
Pregnancy& breast-feeding
Pefloxacin is contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation.
Adults and children older than 12 years old:
The usual dose is 400 mg twice daily after meals.
A single oral dose of 800 mg may be used in the treatment of gonococcal urethritis in men and acute uncomplicated cystitis in women.
