PROFENID – PRO (Ketoprofen) is one of the propionic acid class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with analgesic and antipyretic effects. It acts by inhibiting the body's production of prostaglandin.

Each capsule of Profenid – pro 50 mg contains: Ketoprofen 50 mg.

It is indicated in adults and children from 15 years to:

The long-term symptomatic treatment:

Chronic inflammatory rheumatism, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (or related syndromes, such as Fiessinger-Leroy-Reiter syndrome and psoriatic arthritis).

The short-term symptomatic treatment of the acute outbreaks of:

Particular rheumatism such as scapulohumeral periarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, arthrosis, low back pain, radicular pain, acute post-traumatic benign conditions of the musculoskeletal system.

Pregnancy& breast-feeding

Pregnancy: Uless clearly necessary, the use of Ketoprofen should be avoided during the first quarter and second trimester. (Pregnancy category: C).

Breast-feeding: NSAIDs passing into breast milk, as a precaution, should be avoided in women who are breastfeeding.

The daily dosage is to be divided into 2 to 3 doses per day.

Long-term symptomatic treatment: 3 capsules daily.

Short-term symptomatic treatment of acute episodes: 4 capsules daily.

The maximum daily dose is 200 mg daily. Capsules are to be taken after meals.
