Toplex, a medication belonging to the respiratory system drug class. It helps relieve symptoms associated with common respiratory diseases in the winter season, and it also treats different types of coughs.
Each capsule of Toplex contains:
1.65 mg Oxomemazine (as HCl)
33.3 mg Paracetamol
33.3 mg Guaifenesin
33.3 mg Sodium Benzoate
Toplex is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of troublesome cough, whether dry (non-productive) or productive, particularly allergic and irritative types of coughs.
Toplex helps relieve airway congestion by making mucus and phlegm thinner and easier to expel through coughing.
Toplex is prescribed to alleviate symptoms associated with colds, such as elevated body temperature and fever.
Toplex is a suitable option for reducing nighttime cough, thereby improving sleep quality.
Children:
The efficacy of Toplex capsules has not been established in children (Only for adults).
Pregnancy& breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Toplex.
Pregnancy Category: N (Not classified).
Toplex should not be used whilst breastfeeding because of small amount of the contents of Toplex appear in breast milk.
The recommended dose of Toplex is 1-2 capsules, taken 2-3 times daily until symptom control is achieved.
