Rectoplex Adults, a medication belonging to the respiratory system drug class. It helps relieve symptoms associated with common respiratory diseases in the winter season, and it also treats different types of coughs.

Each suppository of Rectoplex Adults contains:

6.6 mg Oxomemazine (as HCl)

133.2 mg Paracetamol  

133.2 mg Guaifenesin

133.2 mg Sodium Benzoate

Rectoplex Adults suppositories are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of troublesome cough, whether dry (non-productive) or productive, particularly allergic and irritative types of coughs.

Rectoplex Adults suppositories help relieve airway congestion by making mucus and phlegm thinner and easier to expel through coughing.

Rectoplex Adults suppositories are prescribed to alleviate symptoms associated with colds, such as elevated body temperature and fever.

Rectoplex Adults suppositories are a suitable option for reducing nighttime cough, thereby improving sleep quality.

Children:

The efficacy of Rectoplex Adults suppositories has not been established in children (Only for adults).

Pregnancy& breast-feeding

Pregnancy Category: N (Not classified).

Rectoplex Adults suppositories should not be used whilst breastfeeding because of small amount of the contents of Rectoplex Adults suppositories appear in breast milk.

The recommended dose of Rectoplex Adults suppositories for adults is one suppository in the morning and one in the evening, until symptom control is achieved.
