URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is a medication belonging to the benzodiazepine class, primarily used in seizure conditions, anxiety disorders, and epilepsy. It works by reducing excessive electrical activity in the brain.

Each tablet of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg contains 10 mg Clobazam.

Adults:

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is primarily used as an anxiolytic and an anticonvulsant.

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is indicated as a monotherapy for partial (focal) and generalized epilepsy.

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is used as an adjunctive treatment in cases of refractory epilepsy in all its forms.

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is FDA-approved for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

Children:

The effectiveness of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg has not been evaluated in children under 2 years of age.

Pregnancy& breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking URBANYL - PRO 10 mg.

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg crosses the placenta, and some studies have shown the possibility of fetal malformations, such as cleft lip and palate, in babies born to mothers who used URBANYL - Pro 10 mg.

If URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is taken late in pregnancy, your baby may experience withdrawal symptoms such as agitation or convulsions. In this case, the newborn should be closely monitored during the postnatal period.

Pregnancy Category: C.

URBANYL - PRO 10 mg should not be used whilst breastfeeding because of small amounts URBANYL - PRO 10 mg appear in breast milk, and affect your baby.

Adults and children (over 2 years old and weighing more than 30 kg):

The recommended initial dose of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is one tablet daily.

The dose can be increased to two tablets daily after 7 days of the initial dose.

The dose can be further increased to four tablets daily after 21 days of the initial dose.

Children (over 2 years old and weighing less than 30 kg):

The recommended initial dose of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is half a tablet daily.

The dose can be increased to one tablet daily after 7 days of the initial dose.

The dose can be further increased to two tablets daily after 21 days of the initial dose.

Elderly patients:

The recommended initial dose of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg is half a tablet daily, gradually increasing to two tablets daily.

Maximum daily dose:

A dose ranging from 6 to 8 tablets of URBANYL - PRO 10 mg can be used when necessary.
