Surgam - Pro 300 mg is a medication belonging to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is primarily used to treat pain and inflammation associated with a variety of conditions thereby improves patient mobility and quality of life.

Each tablet of Surgam - Pro 300 mg contains 300 mg Tiaprofenic acid.

Surgam - Pro 300 mg is essentially used to treat the swelling, pain, heat, redness and stiffness in your joints and muscles in the following cases:

Rheumatoid arthritis (inflammation of the joints)

Osteoarthritis (where the cushioning (cartilage)between the bone joints is damaged).

Lower back pain

Sprains and strains

Pain and inflammation after an operation

Other painful inflammatory joint of muscle problems­.

Children:

Surgam - Pro 300 mg is not recommended for use in children and adolescent because their safety and efficacy has not yet been established.

Pregnancy& breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Surgam - Pro 300 mg.

Surgam - Pro 300 mg is not recommended during the first six months of pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and advised by a doctor.

Surgam - Pro 300 mg is not recommended during the last three months of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby (causing kidney and heart problems) or lead to complications during labor.

Surgam - Pro 300 mg may affect the tendency of pregnant women and the unborn baby to bleed and may cause labor to be delayed or prolonged beyond expectations.

Pregnancy Category: C.

Surgam - Pro 300 mg should not be used whilst breastfeeding because of small amounts Surgam - Pro 300 mg appear in breast milk.

Adults:

The recommended initial dose is 2 tablets (600 mg) daily, divided into 2 doses of Surgam - Pro 300 mg.

The total daily dose of Surgam - Pro 300 mg should not exceed 2 tablets (600 mg).

Children and adolescent:

Surgam - Pro 300 mg is not recommended for use in children and adolescent because their safety and efficacy has not yet been established.

Elderly:

Surgam - Pro 300 mg should be used with caution, especially in elderly patients who are generally more prone to side effects.

In cases of renal, cardiac, or hepatic impairment, it is recommended to reduce the dose to 1 tablet (300 mg) once daily.
