ROLAC, a medication belonging to the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) class, is used for managing moderate to severe acute pain affecting the eye, requiring an effective analgesic similar to the efficacy of opioid analgesics, such as postoperative pain.
Each 1 mL of sterile ophthalmic solution of ROLAC contains 0.5% Ketorolac Tromethamine.
Adults:
ROLAC eye drops are used for the temporary relief of ocular itching due to seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
ROLAC eye drops are indicated for the prevention of postoperative inflammation in patients who have had cataract surgery.
ROLAC eye drops may also be used for the relief of pain and burning following corneal refractive surgery (LASIK).
Children and adolescents:
The safety and effectiveness of ROLAC have not been established in children under 2 years old.
Pregnancy& breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using ROLAC.
ROLAC should not be used during pregnancy unless the expected benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. The lowest effective dose and shortest duration of treatment should be considered.
Pregnancy Category: C.
ROLAC is not recommended for use whilst breastfeeding because of potential adverse effects of prostaglandin-inhibiting drugs on neonates.
