Sterogyl-Pro is a pharmaceutical preparation containing ergocalciferol (vitamin D2), a fat-soluble vitamin with multiple benefits.

Sterogyl-Pro plays an essential role in regulating calcium and phosphate levels in the body, contributing to bone health.

Sterogyl-Pro is available in ampoules intended for intramuscular injection, and in some cases, the content of a Sterogyl-Pro ampoule can be taken orally.

Each Ampoule of Sterogyl-Pro 1.5 mL contains 600.000 IU Ergocalciferol (Vit D2).

Sterogyl-Pro is used to treat hypoparathyroidism.

Sterogyl-Pro is used for the treatment and prevention of rickets (softening of the bones caused by vitamin D deficiency) or low phosphate levels in the blood.

Sterogyl-Pro is used in patients with gastrointestinal, liver, or biliary tract disorders associated with poor absorption of vitamin D.

Pregnancy& breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Sterogyl-Pro.

For the protection of the fetus, therefore, the use of vitamin D in excess of the recommended dietary allowance during normal pregnancy should be avoided unless, in the judgment of the physician, potential benefits in a specific, unique case outweigh the significant hazards involved.

Sterogyl-Pro should not be used whilst breastfeeding because of certain amounts Sterogyl-Pro appear in breast milk.

Adults and Elderly:

The recommended dose of Sterogyl-Pro is 1 ampoule every 6 to 12 months.

Children (between 1 years of age to 12 years of age):

The recommended dose of Sterogyl-Pro is a single dose of ½ ampoule every 6 to 12 months.

While you are receiving this medicine, your doctor will test your blood and urine regularly. This is to make sure that your medicine is working properly and that the dose you are taking is right for you. If the level of sugar in your blood becomes higher than normal your doctor will stop your treatment with Ergocalciferol.

One of the main excipients included in the formulation of Sterogyl-Pro, which should be recognized to avoid administration risks in certain patients, is peanut oil.
