Adults:

OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms and reversible airflow obstruction associated with chronic asthma and other chronic lung diseases, e.g., emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

Children:

OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg are not indicated for use in children under 2 years of age.

There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg should not be used whilst breastfeeding because OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg may cause irritability or other signs of mild toxicity in nursing human infants.

Adults (16 years of age to 59 years of age who weigh more than 45 kg):

The recommended dose of OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 is 300 mg every 12 hours.

Children

The recommended dose of OBARPHYLLINE SR 12 - 100 mg capsules is:

• 2 years of age to 6 years of age: 60 mg - 120 mg twice daily.
• 6 years of age to 12 years of age: 125 mg - 250 mg twice daily.
• 12 years of age to 16 years of age: 250 mg - 500 mg twice daily.
