Ranitidine Oubari – Ampoules

Composition

Each 2 mL ampoule contains:

  • Ranitidine HCl: 50 mg.
  • Excipient: S.Q. for ampoule of 2 mL.

Indications

Ranitidine Oubari is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Peptic and duodenal ulcers.
  • Reflux oesophagitis.
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
  • Protection of gastric hemorrhage due to ulceration.

Dosage & Administration

Ranitidine Oubari is for I.M., I.V. injection:

Intramuscular

50 mg repeated each 6–8 hours.

Intravenous

50 mg diluted in 20 ml (5% dextrose or 0.9% sodium chloride) repeated

each 6–8 hours.

I.V. infusion dropper: 25mg each hour for two hours repeated each 6–8 hours.

Treatment period

4–8 weeks, starting one week to 10 days with ampoules, continuing

with tablets.

To avoid inhalation syndrome during anesthesia 50 mg/I.M. before 2 hours, or I.V.

before 45–60 minutes.
